| What does dance have to do with church? | |
Dance has a lot to do with church. As a creative medium, dance is a fresh way to inspire, impact, engage and entertain. Like works of art or a musical item, dance too is a creative form of expression. Whether you have a series of sermons that need that extra something, or a special event that requires some meaningful entertainment, the Velocity Dance Ministry team would love to serve your church!

| Is Velocity Dance connected with a church? | |
In 1985, a bunch of would-be thespians formed a small drama group out of a church in New Farm in Brisbane and called it Harvest Rain. Over two decades later, Harvest Rain has grown to become one of the largest independent theatre companies in Australia, providing great theatre that is engaging, accessible and affordable. Velocity Dance was birthed from Harvest Rain in response to the overwhelming demand for dance in today’s performing arts industry. Specifically, the Velocity Dance Ministry team desire to follow the calling of Christ, reflect God’s love and serve with wholesome dance.

| How is Dance Ministry an outreach? | |
We aim to present excellence in dance in order to demonstrate God’s love, express biblical discourses and themes, serve the creative needs of the church and inspire others to use their God given gifts. We also desire to connect and establish relationships within the Christian community, providing opportunities to fulfil scriptures like Hebrews 10:25, “Let's see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out...”
